2nd Annual Williams Tae Kwon DO Inter-School Tournament

The 2nd annual Williams Taekwondo Inter-School Tournament is on Saturday March 4th 2023 – starting at 10:00 am. This tournament is all inclusive. There will be a division (skill level +/or age group) for each and every student to participate in. This tournament will be held at our JW School of TKD in Kitchener, 137 Queen St. S, N2G 1W2 (Historic St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Gymnasium). Start Times: Juniors: 10:00 am || Adults 12:00 pm.

There will be 2 main Divisions: Patterns and Sparring. We will be handing out medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each (age/skill) competitor group. Please Note: We plan to keep the # of competitors small for each group. There will also be a 4th place medal awarded in the Junior Divisions if there are 4 people. For sparring, all competitors will have at least 2 matches. (We will keep the group numbers small.) The cost of the tournament will be $35 per competitor (for 2 divisions). There is no charge for spectators.

In addition to the main Patterns and Sparring divisions, we will also have 3 Additional (optional) Divisions. The cost of each additional division is $5. For these 3 added competitions, there will be one First Place Medal awarded for each competitor (age) group. Here are the Three Optional Competitions:

Sword Sparring Competition: (using foam swords – parents can relax) || Usually Sr. White-Yellow belt & higher (or with Instructor approval)

Longest Kick Competition: (running, flying side kick) || Usually Sr. White-Yellow belt & higher (or with Instructor approval)

Highest Kick Competition: (running, jumping high kick) || Usually Sr. White-Yellow belt & higher (or with Instructor approval)
